When I use Remote Desktop for Mac, the Windows 10 and Server 2016 machines ask me to choose a certificate (I believe they are getting this from my cert store, rather than the card itself), then without asking for my PIN, the browser tells me I can't get Surfed to smart-card enabled sites and all of them worked just fine. When I use Remote Desktop for Mac on the Windows 7 PC, the browser lets me choose a cert (again, from my cert store), then opens an "Insert Smart Card" window. The smart card you are using may be missing requiredÄriver software or a required certificate." If I pull the smart card out of the reader, the message changes to "A smart card was not detected in the smart card reader." Under "Details", it correctly displays the card reader model that I'veĬonnected and also gives correct information about my smart card, but under "Smart Card Status" it says "A smart card was detected but is not the one required for the current operation. So Remote Desktop is passing some info, but somehow not the correct info. I'm using the same smart card & reader in all instances. I've ensured that the "Smart Cards" box is checked under "Local Resources". I've also disabled the firewall on all 3 windows machines and my MacBook (Mojave). I checked the log files, but didn't see anything related to my issue.
